First, sorry it has been so long since my last post. The boys have been very fiesty for the past few weeks. Teething is not agreeing with them and it makes for some very interesting changes in personality. Konrad and Zachary have two teeth each now. Zach's came in the day after his first tooth and Konrad's 2nd tooth came in a few days after that. It is very funny to see their smile now because you can see their little teeth and they look like cartoons almost, Zach especially because he has such a "classic" baby look. Michael still doesn't have any teeth but they are pushing through his little gums as we speak... I definitely thought they would be in by now but nothing yet, he is certainly just as cranky as the other two...
Zachary finally rolled over and of course now that he has it figured out he is rolling everywhere. He is actually the best at it and he can roll back to belly then belly to back and so he kind of gets around by rolling himself where he wants to go. The other two do not do this at all and rarely roll from belly to back, they kind of just get stuck there and play on their belly's until they get angry enough for me to have to turn them over. Zach has increased his neck strength considerably in the past couple weeks since his first roll over and he can tolerate belly time much longer now, I guess he just had to be ready for it.
All three boys are grabbing their feet finally and putting them in their mouths. Konrad is like a little monkey and he is using his feet to hold his bottle, grab toys and do all sorts of things. I think he thinks he has 4 hands now, laugh. Mike and Zach grab their feet and hold on and then roll all over the place in a little ball of baby. Its really funny.
Mike is determined to be on his belly most of the time. Changing his diaper and giving him a bath are like wrestlemania now because he is so determined to roll over that you have to hold him down to get him dressed or changed. And we have to be so careful in the bath tub, not that we weren't before, because he tries to roll right over and eat the water...little turd.
They are all little fish and love the water and their bath time. They laugh and kick and splash. Mike and I might as well wear bathing suits for how wet we get and Grandma Debbie almost always gives them their bath when she is here and she finishes bath time soaking wet. She needs a grandma poncho for bath time, laugh.
Mikey is still working on crawling, he is rocking on his knees every once in a while but no major forward crawling yet. Zach is starting to pull his legs under him as well and Konrad is just taking his time. He looks like a baby seal on his belly arms and legs a flailing everywhere. He does push up on his arms but not on his legs yet.
The boys got their RSV/synergis shots this week and it has been a bit of a trip ever since. Konrad had a reaction and his lymph nodes got all swollen and he was feverish, flushed, lethargic and clammy and oh my gosh so cranky for three or four days afterwards. It was really, really a bummer and a bit scary. Mike and Zach were cranky for a day or two but not longer and nothing like Konrad's reaction in either length or severity. Konrad had a bad reaction to his pertussis immunization too so I think we are done with shots for him for a while. All of the boys got fevers and were punky for a few days, but Konrad was just absolutely not himself and had high fevers and issues all around. Not only is it really hard on me to have sick babies, but it is worrisome when he gets so lethargic and not like himself. I just can't afford for something to happen that is worse when he is looking like he has problems with his shots, I wouldn't forgive myself I don't think. Our pediatrician says we will wait for a year or two and then try again...fine with me. Atleast then I will know what he is feeling because he can tell me.
On happier notes, all of the boys are starting to really interact and check each other out. They are laughing at each other and talking little oohs, goos, and aahs to each other and they blow rasberries and make little screams at each other. Sometimes they get the giggles so much when they are on their bellies looking at each other that they can hardly keep their heads up, Mike and Zach find each other especially funny. Mike and Zach are more interested in pulling Konrad's bright curly hair than playing with him, which really pisses him off. It is getting to the point where if Mike comes too close to him Konrad starts kicking, laugh...he is no fool. They boys are so fast in their little walker things now that we have to watch our feet. They jut fly form the door to the kitchen, hit the counters and turn around and then fly back to the door. They have explored all of the bedrooms and the bathroom, so much so that we have to keep the doors closed because we don't want them to get into things. They are pulling things down off the counters and pretty much anything they can grab is no longer safe. They are hilarious.
I will try to keep things updated more often, I know that I missed some things, but it has been so long that I just tried to hit the major things.
